It's week ten, and this has been a week disrupted by the Republican National Convention, but I still have predictions, and they won't be delayed by an hour on the West Coast thanks to Donald Trump.
Format for predictions:
Show title (network) (average 18-49 rating, season low-season high)
Certain to be Canceled
American Gothic (CBS) (0.6, 0.5-0.7)
Aquarius (NBC) (0.4, 0.4-0.4)
BrainDead (CBS) (0.5, 0.4-0.7)
Houdini & Doyle (FOX) (0.5, 0.4-0.7)
Mistresses (ABC) (0.7, 0.4-0.8)
Likely to be Canceled
Toss-Up
Wayward Pines (FOX) (0.7, 0.7-0.9)
Likely to be Renewed
The Night Shift (NBC) (1.0, 0.8-1.2)
Zoo (CBS) (0.8, 0.7-0.8)
Certain to be Renewed
Fate Determined
Beauty and the Beast (CW) FINAL SEASON
Uncle Buck (ABC) CANCELED
Zoo: In this crazy convention week (in which only three scripted shows aired an episode among the broadcast networks) Zoo could no longer stay flat at 0.8, and fell a tenth. This really doesn't mean anything, especially in this crazy week. Zoo is still definitely the highest rated of CBS's three summer scripted shows, but one has to wonder, at what point would CBS be willing to cancel all three?
Wayward Pines: Another 0.7 in its penultimate week leads to no change in my prediction for Wayward Pines. Following next week's finale, however, I will move it either up or down. Stay tuned!
American Gothic: Airing instead at 9:00 this week due to the convention, American Gothic went up from 0.5 to 0.6, as it aired in a more viewed hour with a larger lead-in. No change in my prediction, however, the show is still very much dead.
What do you think of my predictions? Leave your thoughts in the comments!
